A little bit about me...
I am originally from the Pacific Northwest and just moved back after 15 years moving around the country. I am the youngest of four girls and enjoy learning about WW2 and migration patterns, as well as playing volleyball. I love classic film and anthropology. I'm a former management consultant and now work for corporate strategy at Nordstrom. I am drawn to the challenge of pushing my physical and mental limits. I believe loving others through my actions--not just words--is my purpose in life. As such, I am passionate about IJM's work. On a local level, I am actively involved with another non-profit which works to rescue and restore those negatively impacted by the sex industry.
What breaks my heart
Human exploitation, taking advantage of those with limited opportunities and lower socio-economic status, human trafficking, slavery, injustice.
I climbed my first mountain in 2010. I showed up with no experience and no expectations. I just wanted to have fun! I've been able to climb, gain more experience, and have more fun since then. I've summited Mt. Rainier three times, and also bagged peaks in Scotland, Bolivia, Russia, Bulgaria, and the Himalaya.
